Scoring discrepancies Sometimes scoring discrepancies happen in Yahoo Fantasy. They're rare, but here's how we handle them when they do: All official player scoring, live data corrections and league standings are normally updated by am Pacific Time the morning after the game s. Official stat corrections aren't applied until the end of the weekly matchup on Monday.
Statistics that appear on StatTracker TM or Live Stats may not reflect all statistics earned by players during their games. If you see incorrect stats on game day, they will likely be corrected during our nightly update.
If Patrice Bergeron passes to Brad Marchand, and Marchand shoots the puck on goal, Bergeron would be credited with a shot assist. Shot assists do a better job measuring only the player in question, rather than being affected by the performance of his teammates.
Whether or not Marchand executed once he got the puck, Bergeron did his job and thus should be credited. Goalie statistics are acceptable in fantasy hockey, but they could be much better.
Most fantasy leagues reward quantity over quality, and heavily favor goalies on good teams. The four-point win reward would be regarded as a cardinal sin in the world of analytics.
Great goalies on horrible teams, like John Gibson, should have a bone to pick with whoever decided on this measurement system. Ignoring the win statistic, goalies are valued decently in fantasy hockey. The problem is, stopping a shot from the blue line should not be worth the same amount of points as stopping a breakaway.
This is the perfect time to turn to the world of analytics. A goalie who faces higher danger chances breakaways, one-timers, etc. The calculation for GSAx is simply expected goals against minus actual goals against. Stronger goalies have a positive GSAx, as they saved more chances than they were expected to. Weaker goalies have a negative GSAx, since they stopped fewer shots than they were expected to.
High danger save percentage is a barebones version of GSAx. For both forwards and defensemen, it seems that defensive-minded players are snubbed by fantasy scoring. Nichushkin is a fringe player for fantasy: in most leagues, he was left as a free agent for the majority of the year despite having an elite defensive impact.
It should come as no surprise that offensive defensemen are far more valuable than defensive defenseman in fantasy hockey. While Deangelo is not as strong as Suter in real life, his fantasy value is driven by his point total.
You'll find more help with the live draft in the Help Center inside your League after signup. When choosing to participate in an automated draft, you can customize your rank list in one of two ways: a single, comprehensive list or 4 individual positional lists.
If you choose the comprehensive list, all available players in your player pool will be populated in one list. You may manipulate the rankings however you choose. You will rank the players on each list in the order of your preference, with the player you'd most like to draft being 1 on a list, and so on.
If you choose to rank your players via the 4 positional list option, a comprehensive list will also be compiled from these individual lists based on projections. However, if you make subsequent adjustments to this comprehensive list that conflict with your individual rank lists, the individual rank lists will become invalid.
For example, if you have Ryan Kessler ranked ahead of Jonathan Toews on your Center list, but decide to move Jonathan Toews ahead of Ryan Kessler on your comprehensive list, your positional list will become invalid.
As in the Live Draft, you are not required to make changes to our rank lists. If you choose not to, our default lists, which reflect the rankings of our ' Fantasy experts ', will be used. However, if you decide to organize the lists yourself, you will have up until the start of your draft to do so. When your draft begins, the rank lists will be closed and considered ready for the draft.

In the event that a tie remains, the Win will be awarded to the home team. Statistics Corrections Your League's web site will be updated to reflect official NHL statistics corrections that occur up to seven days after the game has been completed.

Players selected from waivers or added from free agency that were part of a team drop may be reversed at our discretion.
